MCP server

Skwiz now has an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT connect to Skwiz. You can set up and manage document types by describing what you need, instead of configuring every field by hand.

Through the MCP server, an assistant can:

• List the document types in your organization
• Inspect a document type's full extraction schema
• Create new document types and configure its fields
• Update confidence thresholds, STP thresholds and page settings

For example, you can ask your assistant to "create a document type for purchase orders with order number, order date, supplier VAT number and line items" and then fine-tune the result in Skwiz. You can also ask it to review an existing document type and suggest improvements.

Extraction hints

You can now add hints when you send documents through the API. A hint gives Skwiz extra context for a specific field or field group, for example "check whether the name John Smith appears on the document." This is useful when you already know something about the document from another system, such as your ERP or CRM.

Hints are also visible in the validation interface, behind the info icon next to the field or field group. Validators can see the context that was used during extraction.
